Evennett continues to press Post Office

The Post Office, which was located in the Mace Store in Crayford Road, closed following an issue with its lease. The Post Office have advised Mr Evennett that: “there are a number of interested local businesses who are going through the application process”.

Christchurch Tories Autumn Lunch

Christchurch Conservatives held a fundraising and social Autumn Lunch at the Danson Boathouse on Sunday 18th September.

Members enjoyed a two course lunch then coffee, followed by a silent raffle organised by committee members Edna and Bernard Clewes.


On Friday morning (16 September) there was a commemoration of the opening of Crayford railway station 150 years ago in 1866. Southeastern arranged coffee and cakes for commuters using the station.

Boundary Commission Proposals for the London Borough of Bexley

Today the Boundary Commission published its first draft of proposals for changes to Parliamentary boundaries in Bexley.  The aim is to equalise the size of all constituencies and reduce the number of MPs in the House of Commons to 600.

Train service operator must do better

The service on Southeastern trains this week has been extremely poor, partly caused by the newly introduced timetable, but also as a result of signal failures and the closure of Cannon Street station.
