Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, attended a Guide Dogs event at the House of Commons on 3 July to learn more about the issues of pavement parking.
Guide Dogs are campaigning for to make pavement parking an offence, except in areas where local authorities grant specific exemptions, which is already the case in London.
At the event, Mr Evennett heard from guide dog owners how parked cars and street clutter blocking the pavement had impacted upon them.
Mr Evennett was also presented with a personalised campaign card with a message from one of his constituents regarding the campaign.
