Cllr. Gareth Bacon AM

Gareth was brought up in Longlands Ward and feels privileged to represent the residents of the ward on Bexley Council for over 20 years.

He lives with his family in Sidcup and over the next four years wants to ensure that our area remains a clean and safe place in which to live and work.

Our borough is growing and Gareth supports the need for new housing development, but feels it is vital that we get the right kind of homes in the right places. We need more good quality homes for families, for first time buyers and for supporting those who need our care.

As the borough grows, it will be important to balance the need for new homes with the need to protect our environment and ensuring the right level of healthcare, transport, school places, parking and broadband connectivity.

We also need to safeguard our emergency services and work to improve our roads and public transport connections.
