Cllr. Linda Bailey

Linda has lived in Bexley since 1972 with her husband and two daughters and four grandchildren. All were educated in Bexley schools and all still live in Bexley.

She was the Mayor in 1999/2000 and was Chairman of the then Schools Sub-Committee with an interest in school governors. She started the training programmes for governors which today are very successful.

Linda is currently the Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Growth, as she has a great interest in local businesses and town centres and was at the forefront of setting up the Bexleyheath Improvement District for the town centre. She is proud of how Sidcup High Street fortunes have been changed as she supported the bid for the Outer London Funding from the then Mayor of London and has been involved with the transformation of its High Street.

She is now involved with the growth agenda for Bexley, which will bring more businesses to the Borough and this will mean more jobs for local people.
