MPs debate the economic value of golf

Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford and Sports Minister, spoke in the Adjournment Debate yesterday (13 April) on the value of golf to the economy, which was secured by Karl McCartney MP.

Evennett welcomes major package of reforms to tax, pensions and savings

From today (6 April), people who reach retirement age will receive the new State Pension, with the full rate set at £155.65 per week. Over 75% of women and over 70% of men will benefit in the first 15 years of the new State Pension, and by 2030 more than three million women stand to gain an average of approximately £550 extra per year as a result of these changes.
