Evennett welcomes major package of reforms to tax, pensions and savings

From today (6 April), people who reach retirement age will receive the new State Pension, with the full rate set at £155.65 per week. Over 75% of women and over 70% of men will benefit in the first 15 years of the new State Pension, and by 2030 more than three million women stand to gain an average of approximately £550 extra per year as a result of these changes.

Bexley Brewery’s parakeet lands in Parliament

BOB, an ale brewed in Erith by Bexley Brewery, was on tap in the House of Commons’ last week (16 March). Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, where the company is based, was able to arrange for the sale of the beer in Strangers’ Bar
